Karen Amiel has more than thirty years of fine art, publishing and business experience. She has advised private and institutional clients in all aspects of collecting and has worked with many of the most prominent collections in both America and Europe, specializing in 20th Century Modern and Contemporary art. She was Vice President of Content Development and Promotion and Senior Art Advisor for Artnet.com, devising many of their projects and services. She has held positions with major galleries including Marian Goodman Gallery, New York and Waddington Galleries Ltd., London. For many years she was Curator of the Collection of the Arts Council of Great Britain, London, where she began her career. She catalogued their collection of British art, organized numerous exhibitions, wrote books and catalogues and advised on art related films. Ms. Amiel has a B.A. in Fine Art and Art History from American University, Washington, D.C., and regularly lectures at professional organizations, museums and universities.
